Summer Teaching Institute Registration

You are invited you to attend the Mobile Institute on Scientific Teaching (MoSI), an in person teaching and learning training experience, being hosted at Carleton University, THIS SPRING, from June 17 – 21, inclusive (9:30 am to 4 pm)!

This workshop is open to all faculty and lab coordinators, post-doctoral fellows, and graduate students who teach in higher education, and not limited to those who teach science (as may be inferred by the name of the workshop).

The MoSI will expand and sharpen participants teaching skills through workshops facilitated by national science education experts. Participants will have a hands-on experience of the impact of evidence-based teaching approaches such as active learning and inclusive teaching practices, with deliberate and backwards design. This workshop has been identified as a major transformative event in the career of many universities, from research-intensive institutions to community colleges.

What is the cost?

The MOSI is subsidized by Carleton University, Teaching and Learning Services and the Chair in Teaching Innovation, and available at the low registration cost of $125, or $100 for participants who bring along one other member from their department or unit.
