\n Summer Teaching Institute Registration\n <\/h1>\n \n \n <\/header>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

You are invited you to attend the Mobile Institute on Scientific Teaching<\/a> (MoSI), an in person teaching and learning training experience, being hosted at Carleton University, THIS SPRING, from June 17 – 21, inclusive (9:30 am to 4 pm)!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This workshop is open to all faculty and lab coordinators, post-doctoral fellows, and graduate students <\/strong>who tea<\/strong>c<\/strong>h<\/strong> <\/strong>i<\/strong>n<\/strong> <\/strong>h<\/strong>i<\/strong>g<\/strong>h<\/strong>e<\/strong>r<\/strong> <\/strong>educ<\/strong>a<\/strong>t<\/strong>i<\/strong>o<\/strong>n, and not limited to those who teach science<\/strong> (as may be inferred by the name of the workshop).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The MoSI will expand and sharpen participants teaching skills through workshops facilitated by national science education experts. Participants will have a hands-on experience of the impact of evidence-based teaching approaches such as active learning and inclusive teaching practices, with deliberate and backwards design. This workshop has been identified as a major transformative event in the career of many universities, from research-intensive institutions to community colleges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is the cost?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The MOSI is subsidized by Carleton University, Teaching and Learning Services and the Chair in Teaching Innovation, and available at the low registration cost of $125<\/strong>, or $100 <\/strong>for participants who bring along one other member from their department or unit.
