Adobe Creative Cloud License Purchase Terms of Service
The following terms and conditions apply to the acquisition and use of an Adobe Creative Cloud license, under an Enterprise Term License Agreement (ETLA) Carleton University entered with Adobe.
Conditions of Use
By using this service and all associated tools, you certify that you have read and reviewed these terms and that you agree to comply with them. If you do not want to be bound by the terms, please do not request an account for the service. ITS only grants use and access of this service to those who have accepted these terms.
License Acquisition and Activation
Acquisition of Adobe Creative Cloud licenses is now funded by departments or by purchasing individual subscriptions.
The ETLA renews annually each September. ITS will provision Creative Cloud licenses in 12-month increments from that date. Annual reviews will be conducted for departmentally funded licenses on or around this anniversary date. Individual users may be required to confirm their ongoing enrolment and provide the necessary funds to extend their paid subscriptions.
Users are permitted to activate their Creative Cloud license simultaneously on up to two devices. Activating on any additional devices will prompt the user to deactivate a previous license activation.
Requirements
Users need to ensure their devices meet these system requirements.
Eligible users must have an active student, faculty or staff role at the university to successfully log onto their Adobe account. Non-active users will have their licenses revoked.
Use of a Carleton Creative Cloud license is restricted to teaching and learning, research or administrative purposes. Personal or commercial use of these applications is strictly prohibited.
Purchasing a License
The cost to purchase an ETLA license is $161 CDN and valid from the date of purchase, through until the annual September renewal date of our principal agreement mentioned above.
ITS will not provision a license until payment has been processed.
Credit Card Refund
All credit card purchases are final. A refund may be requested under the following conditions:
- 30 days from purchase. No refunds for subscription cancellations will be processed after this period.
- Software fails to install despite the following:
- All hardware and software specifications on client device meet the standard system requirements. See above.
- ITS support staff, in consultation with Adobe vendor support, are unable to resolve a technical issue.
Refunds must be submitted to the ITS Service Desk and made by the credit card holder.
Refund requests must include the name of the credit card holder, and the transaction number. Please do not include your credit card number in any refund requests. Refunds will be credited back to the original credit card used for payment. Please allow 28 days for processing.
Carleton University is not responsible for the timeframe within which the payment card issuing bank refunds the money to your card.
