GEOG 3030 Field Course Refund Policy
Once the 2nd/final deposit has been paid students cannot withdraw from the course or receive a refund, barring exceptional circumstances such as unexpected sickness, injury or death of a loved one. In these cases, a refund may be possible with the proper paperwork.
- Once the student has attended the field course for any length of time, no refund is possible. (including if a student needs to leave the field course before it’s completion)
- If a student needs to return to Ottawa in the middle of the field course, any cost associated with changing their flight/transportation information, will be taken on by the student.
If a refund is requested and approved by the Department, the following steps must be taken:
- Refund requests will need to be sent to Kristy Allen who will go over the required steps and documentation that will be needed.
- Refunds will be put back on the original credit card used. Once the refund has been approved, please allow 28 days before you see the refund on your credit card statement.
Carleton University reserves the right to cancel events. If Carleton University cancels an event or service for any reason we will process refunds for these within 28 days. Please do not include your credit card number in any refund requests. Carleton University is not responsible for the timeframe within which the payment card issuing bank refunds the money to your card.
